Definition:
Under general supervision to promote positive student behavior, patrol school sites and adjacent areas, to enforce school and District rules, regulations, and policies for the safety and security of students, staff, and property.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk, or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit or run; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Requirements / Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent, supplemented by training or course work in crowd control, behavior modification techniques or closely related field.
• One year of experience working with targeted age students performing supervision and/or other appropriate related work experience.
• Possession of a valid California Driver’s License and maintain insurability by district’s insurance carrier.
• Must obtain and provide the district with a standard first aid and CPR Certificate within eight (8) weeks of employment. These certificates are to be maintained throughout employment with the district.
Desirable: Bilingual in English and in Spanish, Chinese and/or Vietnamese.
TESTING
Applicants who pass the application screening process will be notified and scheduled for a written test on a future date.
