Bethlehem Area School District is currently hiring for a district-wide Instructional Assistant opening in the Special Education department.
This is a full-time, 10-month position that runs from August through June, following the school year calendar. The role involves a seven-hour shift each weekday during school hours, Monday through Friday. Description:
Assisting students with their educational and social development under the guidance of the special education teacher
Supporting students with academic, behavioral, and organizational needs
Helping implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and monitoring student progress
Providing one-on-one and small group support inside and outside the classroom to promote full participation
Assisting in maintaining accurate student records and documentation
Learning to collect academic data and complete student observations
Collaborating effectively with students, staff, and parents
Assisting students with personal care needs such as toileting or feeding when necessary
De-escalating students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges
Performing other duties as assigned
Applicants must meet one of the following:
New Employee Rate:
$23.46 per hour
An additional $0.50 per hour is added for candidates with a bachelor’s degree.
