We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Food & Beverage Banquets Manager to lead all aspects of banquet operations, including weddings, golf tournaments, corporate events, and private functions. This role involves coordinating with club members, overseeing set-up and service, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences are provided from planning through execution.
Tasks/Duties:
· Plan and manage logistics for private events, including weddings, golf outings, luncheons, banquets, meetings, and club-sponsored events
· Coordinate events setup, service flow and breakdown for all banquet functions.
· Collaborate with the Director of Food & Beverage and Executive Chef to develop banquet packages and pricing.
· Support budget and revenue goals through effective cost management of events.
· Collaborate with the Communications & Marketing Director for internal Club events announcements.
· Assist in Food & Beverage marketing for Banquets & Events.
· Maintain an accurate event calendar and track all bookings, and BEOs.
· Collaborate with the accounting team on all events deposits.
· Work closely with the Food & Beverage Management and Executive Chef to ensure seamless event execution.
· Participate in pre-and post-event meetings to evaluate success and implement improvements.
· Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Management team through daily operations as needed.
· Maintains open lines of communication with members throughout the event planning process.
· Addressing Client concerns and ability to resolve any issues that arise.
· Creating a positive and memorable experience for members and guests.
· Assist staff on the floor with daily open service operations.
· Must be able to provide a quick response time to all members and guests within 24 hours.
Staff Supervision:
· Schedules Staff based on events and banquet needs.
· Lead pre-event meetings and post-event meetings with staff.
· Supports staff in daily operations on the open service floor.
· Aids staff with members issues
· Must have 2 years of experience, preferably in hospitality or fine dining.
· Must have basic knowledge of customer service principles.
· Must possess a friendly, outgoing and Attentive attitude.
· Must know and apply basic math skills.
· Computer experience preferred
· Strong organizational skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Proficiency with BEO systems and Knowledge of POS systems (e.g. Club-essential is Preferred)
· Ability to work flexible hours, Mornings, Evenings, Weekends and holidays
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work long hours on your feet during events
