Job Profile

The City of Cambridge is currently accepting resumes for casual Concession Attendants working within our Infrastructure Services Department, Operations Division the following duties will apply:

What you will be doing

  • Maintain concession and equipment in an organized, clean manner at all times
  • Keep items well stocked and displayed in an organized manner
  • Prepare food and drink products using proper food handling techniques
  • Clean and sanitize concession thoroughly before leaving perform and reconcile all cash handling duties as required
  • Provide good customer service by being friendly, tactful, and courteous and by maintaining an alert and professional posture at all times. Maintain an acceptable appearance at all times as to both dress and personal hygiene

Experience and Knowledge

  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Food service background and knowledge of cash registers and reconciliation of cash would be an asset.
  • Previous experience in a similar environment would be an asset.
  • Food Handlers Certificate required.
  • Please note that applicants must be 15 years of age or older. Experience and the ability to count money and make accurate change.

Current and valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check to be provided prior to commencement in this position.
Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training certificate from the Ministry of Labour. (may be obtained post offer)
Food Handlers Certificate. Please visit www.foodsafetytraining.ca to complete your training

Rate of pay

The hourly rate of pay is $18.39.

Hours of work

These positions are casual with no minimum hours guaranteed.

Hours of work will be scheduled by your supervisor, or designate, Sunday through Saturday including evenings, weekends and holidays.
