Binary Defense is seeking a talented Business Development Manager of Alliances who thrives working in a fast-paced environment, to drive growth in the BD partner ecosystem. This position will be an integral part of a growing alliances team and will lead cross-functional projects with BD Sales, Product, Marketing, Legal and Finance teams to scale BD go-to-market. This person will work on building and managing relationships with 3rd party vendors to address the needs of key markets.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, revenue-minded professional with a sharp analytical edge and creative storytelling ability. They can distill complex solutions into clear, differentiated value propositions that drive interest and engagement. They're passionate about people and partnerships—collaborating cross-functionally to create compelling go-to-market motions and build strong pipelines that accelerate growth.
Reporting to the Director of Alliances, this position plays a key role in driving leads, new and expansion revenue, service delivery, customer results, and market expansion by building an ecosystem of partners and programs that deliver massive value to BD customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Alliance Management
- Build and manage relationships with key technical alliance partners (e.g., Microsoft, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Palo Alto Networks).
- Align partner capabilities and roadmaps with the MDR company’s detection, response, and go-to-market strategy.
- Collaborate on joint solution development, marketing campaigns, and field engagement.
Pipeline Generation
- Drive pipeline through partner-led activities (joint webinars, co-selling, partner account mapping).
- Work with sales teams to source and influence opportunities from partner ecosystems.
- Enable sellers and sales engineers to understand the value of partnerships.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work with Product, Marketing, and Sales Engineering to align partner offerings.
- Ensure integration value propositions are clearly articulated and differentiated.
- Drive internal enablement around joint offerings.
Operational Excellence
- Forecast and report on partner-influenced pipeline.
- Manage joint business plans, QBRs, and performance metrics with key alliances.
- Ensure partner programs are compliant with MDF, SPIF, and co-marketing agreements.
Requirements
- 2+ years demonstrated progressive business development experience within the cybersecurity industry, preferably in the Managed Security Services sector.
- Experience working with or for technology vendors such as Microsoft, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Splunk, Palo Alto Networks, etc.
- Strong understanding of MDR/EDR/XDR market trends and technology integrations.
- Proven track record of partner-sourced pipeline growth and joint GTM execution.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, startup-to-scaleup environment.
- Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and explain them to audiences of varying technical expertise.
- High caliber, dynamic personality.
- Excellent time management and written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel as needed
