This position allows you to develop and apply your skills in your assigned department, while also supporting other areas as needed. You’ll provide high-quality patient care, assist with procedures and surgeries, monitor critical patients, triage emergencies, and help maintain accurate medical records—all while fostering positive client relationships.
- Daytime – General Practice (8am - 6pm/8am - 8pm)
- Swing – ICU/ER
- Overnight – ICU/ER
- Weekend availability
Here is What Your day May Consist of:
- Deliver excellent patient care in your assigned department (GP, ICU, or ER)
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgeries
- Monitor critical care patients and operate advanced medical equipment
- Triage and support emergency cases as needed
- Float to other departments based on patient and hospital needs
- Place and maintain IV catheters, perform venipuncture, and collect samples
- Take and position patients for diagnostic radiographs
- Accurately fill prescriptions, perform drug calculations, and administer medications (IV, IM, SQ, PO)
- Assist with surgical preparation, anesthesia induction/monitoring, and recovery
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment areas
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with clients
Here is What You Will Bring to the Position:
- Experienced veterinary technician (RVT preferred, but not required with equivalent experience)
- Proficient in anesthesia, patient monitoring, triage, and technical skills listed above
- Strong-willed, self-starter with a positive attitude
- Enjoys client relations and works well in a collaborative, team-based environment
- Flexible and adaptable to shifting departmental needs
