Viaero Fiber Networks is looking for a Permitting Coordinator that will coordinate with municipalities, railroads, irrigation companies and private parties in handling all facets of the permitting and agreement processes. Duties will consist of closely working directly with engineers, network construction and operations teams, to ensure affected parties of a Permit, Agreement or Easement along with the receipt of all necessary construction related information for compiling and timely submittal, tracking of permits and agreements.

This job is performed onsite at our office in Fort Morgan, Colorado. Duties will include reviewing project routes, determining required property ownership, tracking multiple projects at the same time, concurrent permit and agreement submittals, PO/Check request, form handling, mailing, discussing and resolutions of conflicts that arise during permitting, and other office responsibilities as needed. We’re looking for a self-starter with strong and proactive organizational skills. The ideal candidate will also be dedicated, solution driven, cost-conscious, and a strong team player. 

Responsibilities:

  • Research and Compile Permit Documents
  • Review Project and Survey drawings and work with Engineering teams to acquire correct property ownership
  • Determine permit types and municipalities required for each project
  • Submit and Track Permit/Agreement of Utility assessment
  • Manage and track all permits throughout all processes
  • Request PO/Check request to pay fees
  • File correct project drawings and applications to approving permitting entities
  • Manage and coordinate the routine tracking of the project with external agencies
  • Work with Engineering teams to acquire up to date designs for permit submission
  • Forecast permit timelines and impact delays
  • Work with multiple Architects, Engineers and Customers
  • Maintain accurate Records, Logs, and Spreadsheets
  • Update network databases daily with documents and statuses

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least a high school diploma or GED. 
  • 1 - 3 years: In a construction permitting role (utility/residential/commercial)
  • Intermediate/Advanced skill with MS Office (Excel, Word)
  • Ability to identify problems and recommend resolutions.
  • Ability to conduct technical driven research within a deadline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to realize and resolve difficult inquiries or issues relative to assigned work by asking questions and inquiring amongst the team.
  • Ability to ensure timely processing of applications and deliverables.
  • Able to have a strong working knowledge of multiple complex projects congruently.
  • Proven decision-making skills and the ability to succeed in a dynamic environment.
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities and/or environments if necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a utility/residential/commercial construction permitting role.
  • Experience with a database tracking timelines and deliverables.
  • Experience working in a construction back-office environment.

• 8-hour 5-day weekly shift with opportunities for overtime
• Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
