Hybrid Eligibility Supervisor (Medicaid) at Forsyth County (NC)

About the Department

The Forsyth County Department of Social Services is seeking a highly motivated, dependable professional to join our team as a Medicaid Eligibility Supervisor specializing in Special Assistance (SA), Long-Term Care (LTC), Community Alternatives Program (CAP), and Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE).

Position Duties

Supervise eligibility staff responsible for LTC, SA, CAP, and PACE programs.

This position calls for the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from high school or GED and three (3) years of experience as a caseworker or investigator in an income maintenance program.  
A higher education level may be considered as a substitution for all or part of the experience requirement.

The preferred candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in Adult Medicaid Services policy and processing recertifications in NCFAST, at least 1 year of supervisory experience and a 4-year degree.

 Valid driver's license is required.

• The ideal candidate will possess advanced communication skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and a strong understanding of Medicaid eligibility policies. 
• This role requires the ability to interpret and apply complex North Carolina Medicaid and Special Assistance policies, as well as proficient use of the NC FAST system. 
• The successful applicant will ensure eligibility determinations are accurate, timely, and compliant with state and federal regulations.
