Hybrid IT Manager at Kern Regional Center

Kern Regional Center is one of 21 private, non-profit regional centers contracted by the State of California through the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to coordinate community-based services and support for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Kern Regional Center services over 10,000 individuals in Kern, Inyo and Mono Counties. Our counties cover approximately 22,000 square miles with a population of over 945,000 people.

Kern Regional Center is looking for a dedicated IT Manager who is looking for their next challenge. The IT Manager will be responsible for establishing and supervising the development and administration of efficient and effective data processing service systems, communication systems, and related technological operations systems through project planning, system analysis, program development and implementation. The IT Manager evaluates existing systems for effectiveness and operational cost efficiency; provides new systems and technical solutions to meet Agency objectives; supervises information systems staff; oversees completion of special projects related to analysis of data; and performs related work as assigned.

Requirements

The ideal candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in IT or Systems Engineering. Master’s degree in either of these fields with technology as a core component preferred. Or a minimum of five years in related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive experience managing and/or directing an IT operation.
• Possession of a valid California Driver’s License and State automobile insurance, and acceptable driving record substantiated by a DMV printout.
• Full use of automobile or ability to provide for independent transportation
• Must be able to drive to various sites as assigned on a daily basis.
• Must be available to work evening, weekend, and be on call.

Starting Salary $96,220 - $106,083

Salary Range $96,220 - $135,392
