The Franchise Business Consultant (FBC) supports franchisees by providing operational guidance, financial coaching, and training to drive performance and ensure alignment with Gold’s Gym standards. This role includes regular field visits, virtual consultations, and leading both in-person and online training sessions. This position reports directly to the Director of Franchise Operations (DFO) and is required to travel 50% of the time.


Franchise Support & Coaching

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to franchise owners and managers, offering consultative support on day-to-day operations, financial performance, leadership development, and member experience.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and annual in-person site visits with each franchise location in assigned territory.
  • Provide guidance and resources to drive operational excellence.

Training & Leadership Development

  • Develop and facilitate training sessions-both in-person and virtual - for franchisees and their teams, focusing on key areas such as operational efficiency, member experience, and profitability.
  • Facilitate webinars, learning sessions, and peer collaboration forums to foster continuous development and collaboration across the network.
  • Lead onboarding programs for new franchisees and gym leadership, ensuring a strong foundation in Gold’s Gym systems, standards, and success strategies.
  • Champion the rollout of corporate initiatives, tools, and new programs, ensuring successful adoption across locations.

Operational Evaluations & Brand Standards

  • Perform standardized gym evaluations, operational audits, and brand assessments; document findings and distribute reports to stakeholders.
  • Track and communicate corrective action plans, while maintaining documentation of site visits and outcomes.
  • Ensure all locations are compliant with system standards and operational policies.

Strategic Business & Financial Planning

  • Review and interpret franchise financials (P&Ls, balance sheets, KPIs) to identify trends and coach franchises on areas for improvements and growth.
  • Assist in strategic planning, forecasting, and staff planning to drive growth and operational efficiency.

Market Insights & System Collaboration

  • Conduct annual market reviews and monitor competitive activity within assigned regions.
  • Share benchmarks and performance insights with internal stakeholders and franchisees.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the marketing, technology, and development teams to align field strategies with broader company objectives.
