POSITION SUMMARY: Manage 2 or 3 low complexity projects to improve Output and Efficiency on assigned manufacturing lines. Drive daily shop floor lean improvements by eliminating waste, improving flow, and deploying Built In Quality and Just In Time solutions. Conduct daily point Kaizen activities and frequent "low complexity" Kaizen events on workstations. Engage Tier 1 and Tier 2 employees to expose sources of waste and address them systematically. Provide lean tools and training to shop floor associates and shop floor leaders. Utilize metrics to prioritize focus areas and demonstrate impact of lean improvement actions. Actively cultivate lean culture among Tier 1 and Tier 2 employees, reinforcing Lean Manufacturing principles of waste reduction and improving flow on assigned manufacturing lines. Provide visible, high energy, inspiring personal leadership in the drive to reduce waste and improve flowPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Aid in the development and maintenance of detailed work balance charts and standard work documents.Prioritize and elevate visibility of "next in" improvement opportunities, using work balance chart data and quantified waste data.Establish a playbook for point kaizen event priorities to support short-term output and efficiency targets for assigned production lines or other areas, as assigned.Personally lead daily point Kaizen events to realize most impactful short term improvement opportunities.Serve as a coach and engaged working partner with Tier 1 and Tier 2 employees, to cultivate a Lean culture of continuous daily improvement.QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:Minimum 1 year experience, preferably in a direct production positionShop floor associate or shop floor lead experiencePerform in a tactful, professional and flexible manner with sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and opinions, with a strong ability to communicate effectively with shop floor employees and leaders.Good organization skills, with ability to manage multiple projects of low complexity at once.Drive results through persuasiveness and influencing skills; organize self and others with timely follow through and execution.Strong desire to learn, with preferred prior exposure to, Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.COMPENSATION: Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $61,760 - $92,640.
