Responsibilities:

The Opportunity:

 

The VP, Strategic Initiatives will serve as a critical extension of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), acting as a strategic partner and operational leader.  This role will drive high-impact initiatives that span across clinic operations, affiliate providers, provider performance, and organizational transformation. The VP will work closely with department leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, execution, and measurable impact of strategic priorities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Execution & Project Leadership
    • Lead enterprise-level projects and strategic initiatives from planning through implementation to impact assessment.
    • Collaborate with Clinic Operations, Provider Operations, and Core Operations to develop scalable solutions that align with business goals and improve provider performance, quality, and patient outcomes.
    • Serve as the COO’s right hand for strategy execution, helping translate ideas into actionable workstreams.
  • Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
    • Identify, assess, and solve operational challenges across wholly owned and affiliate practices.
    • Partner with clinic, affiliate, and internal leaders to implement best practices, standard operating procedures, and operational frameworks to drive performance.
  • Executive Support & Cross-Functional Alignment
    • Prepare COO for key meetings, develop executive-level presentations, and track follow-ups across operations, clinical, and support functions.
    • Facilitate alignment between departments by identifying gaps, removing roadblocks, and ensuring accountability to strategic objectives.
  • Data-Driven Decision Support
    • Leverage internal data and analytics to inform operational decisions and drive performance outcomes.
    • Track and report progress on KPIs for high-priority initiatives, surfacing risks and mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Leadership & Change Management
    • Guide cross-functional teams through change initiatives, communicating vision, timing, and expectations.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Position Requirements/ Skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare operations, strategy, or consulting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Healthcare experience is required; experience in value-based care, Medicare Advantage, or clinic operations is a plus.
  • Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) for real-time collaboration.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects from strategy through execution.
  • Strong analytical thinking and critical problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving measurable results.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership and providers.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent time management and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
  • Adept at navigating ambiguity, working independently, and adapting to evolving business needs.
  • Appreciation of cultural diversity and sensitivity toward target patient populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle data with confidentiality.
  • Highly preferred for this role to be in-person at our Tampa headquarters 2-3 days per week.

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, push, and reach as needed in both office and healthcare settings.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, including during meetings and computer-based work.
  • Frequent use of hands and wrists for typing, computer work, and document review.
  • Prolonged use of a computer and telephone for communication and task execution.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor degree with strong academic track record.
- Experience with all Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Hands-on user for Microsoft Internet Explorer and related web-based technologies.
- Must have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision or formal structure.
- Previous experience with client relations and experience in HR systems and/or software project management are significant plus.

Pay Range:USD $50,000.00 - USD $100,000.00 /Yr.
