Summary: Promotes and maintains Company's security and property protection programs by performing the following duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

 

·       Assists the ticket department and guest services in facilitating both day pass and season pass compliance as it pertains to both our guests and employees.

·       Assist all local, state and federal law enforcement as needed.

·       Assist all departments as needed.

·       Enforce all Company policies and regulations.

·       Retrieve, deliver and deposit all revenues generated from Operational Departments.

·       Assist Ski Patrol in the enforcement of the Colorado Skier Safety Act.

·       Assist as necessary in all catastrophic injuries, mass casualty incidents and mountain fatalities.

·       Investigate all incidents as reported and prepare necessary files.

·       Report incidents to appropriate law enforcement agencies as needed.

·       Assess both guests and employees for alcohol or drug abuse while on mountain or in facilities.

·       Provide a guest experience that exceeds the guest’s expectations.

·       Support Telluride Ski & Golf sustainability initiatives.

·       Adheres to Telluride Ski & Golf policies and procedures.

·       Knowledge of and adheres to Skier Responsibility Code and Colorado Skier Safety Act

·       Assists with town events/ Telluride ski resort sanctioned events

·       Common consumption area monitoring and alcohol enforcement

·       Patrols ski resort area via ATV

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:                                          

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Minimum one year related experience.

 

Language Skills:                                                   

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

Mathematical Skills:                                            

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:                                                

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Other Qualifications:

·       Must have valid driver’s license.

·       Must be able to negotiate black diamond trails with proficiency.

·       Excellent interview/investigation skills.

·       Basic understanding of judicial and arrest procedures.

·       Must be able to function effectively at elevations of 10,000 feet or higher.

·       Must be able to function effectively in inclement weather conditions.

·       Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.

·       Must complete a background check

 

 

Other Skills and Abilities:                                                 

·       1-3 years experience in a Security capacity preferred.

·       Able to operate a hand held radio.

·       Able to operate and navigate a snowmobile/ATV/ side by side/ Mountain Bike

Part-time and full-time positions available! 

The wage for this position is $21.00/hr.
