BHN is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Support Navigator to join our team in Springfield, helping individuals access recovery treatment and essential community resources.

What You’ll Do:

As a Recovery Support Navigator in BHN’s SOR (State Opioid Response) program, you will play a key role in connecting individuals with substance use disorders to vital support services. You will collaborate with local emergency departments, office-based opioid treatment providers, and our Mobile Methadone Unit to offer wraparound support that addresses both clinical and social determinants of health.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborate with individuals to create a recovery-oriented plan of safe care
  • Connect individuals with services for housing, healthcare, income, mental health, and substance use treatment
  • Provide referrals to community agencies and coordinate support for sustained recovery
  • Assist with temporary transportation and help clients secure long-term transportation resources
  • Facilitate linkage to insurance-eligible care coordination
  • Work closely with Mobile Methadone Unit staff and local treatment providers to coordinate care
  • Partner with Recovery Coaches to ensure cohesive service delivery

Who You Are:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • CADAC, LADC, or Community Health Worker Certificate is a plus
  • 3–5 years of experience working with community-based substance use recovery programs
  • Strong communication, coordination, and time management skills
  • Proficient with basic computer and electronic communication systems
  • Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
