What You'll Do:

As a Material Handler you will be directly responsible for the safe unloading and loading of LTL Freight, Rail car, and Tanker Trucks.   

What We're Looking For:

• Coordinate the work of other operators involved in the S&R function.
• Ensure that demurrage is limited on all incoming bulk shipments.
• Capable of unloading/loading all LTL freight.
• Proper submission of paperwork to ensure that all auditing is performed within the set time frame, Weekly Safety Audits, Truck/Trailer Entries, etc.
• Perform work in compliance with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures, including confined space entry, hot work, equipment lock out, trailer entry, emergency response, etc.
• Provide leadership of shift when S&R Supervisor is absent.
• Capable of unloading all bulk shipments, including all monomers.
• Able to handle all aspects of a “Blind” Shipment.
• Capable of shipping Exports.
• Capable of handling all Rail Shipment functions.
• Ensure that housekeeping is maintained at all S&R areas.
• This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.  Our material handlers are expected to perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by management.

Skills That Make a Difference:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Experience loading and unloading Tanker Trucks and Rail cars is preferred.
• Experience with using Forklifts is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to  wear PPE
