Additional Information: Show/Hide Gallup Hill School is seeking Early Childhood Paraeducators. The Early Childhood Paraeducator, under the supervision of a certified staff member, demonstrate patience, compassion, and empathy when interacting with students ages 3-5, as well as professionalism when representing the school.
Job Responsibilities:
Assists and guides students to reinforce positive behaviors
Assists professional staff in classroom preparation and management
Works with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and implement assigned programs.
Assist in implementing a wide variety of creative and developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 3 to 5 to promote school readiness across areas of development, including language, literacy, cognition, social studies, mathematics, science, the arts, social emotional skills and physical development.
Assists students with activities of daily living, including toilet training, for the purpose of maximizing their ability to participate in school or learning activities.
Assists students in non-instructional areas, such as bus and playground duty.
Assists student with
Supports students with special needs in all aspects of classroom instruction to maximize inclusion, learning, achievement if IEP objectives, etc.
Follows all applicable safety rules, procedures and regulations governing the proper manner of assistance for all students, including those with disabilities or other special needs.
Performs any other related duties as assigned.

Ability to understand, apply and use personal computers and software applications (e.g., all Google platform apps, such as Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Forms)
Professional demeanor.
Qualifications:
Two years of college credits (60), an associate’s degree or evidence of having passed Para Pro Assessment.
High School diploma or GED required
Experience working with special education students and/or in a school setting a plus
Strong understanding of the developmental needs of young children
