Hybrid CDL Driver / Warehouse Worker at FNA Group

Primary Purpose:

Utilizing a yard dog type tractor, transport materials to and from local offsite warehouse and production facility, and exchange trailers within the yard. When the yard dog is not needed, you will assist in loading and unloading with a forklift. Ensure safe and accurate storage, loading, unloading and retrieval of materials.

Job Description:

• Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Responsible for staying up to date on preventative maintenance schedule; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
• Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy.
• Operate a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and count product.
• Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas.
• Ensure shipments are accurate and free of damage; Report quality variances.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required.
• 2+ years of proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations.
• Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehicles.
• Alert, focused, and detail-oriented.
• Physically and mentally fit.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.
• Ability to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment, forklift.
• Ability to communicate effectively and read/interpret documents.
• Experience in warehouse operations.
• Immediately report any damage to semi, trailer, buildings or other.

Education/Certification:

High School Diploma or GED

Other Duties as Assigned:

Other duties could include working in other areas to provide support during absences/shortage of staff.

Safety:

• Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
• Initiate and maintain proper and necessary safety equipment as prescribed by law.
• Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures.
• Follow established safety procedures and techniques and perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc.
• Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.
• Obey all traffic laws and always operate semi in a safe manner.
