General Definition:
- Responsible for providing customers with racing information.
Essential Job Functions:
- Basic knowledge of horse racing related information required.
- Basic computer skills required for those with LSP Bet and/or SmartButton access.
- Dependability and good attendance required.
- Ability to meet company standards of performance and safety.
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures.
- May be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or GED, or 2 year related experience and/or training; or combination
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of horseracing and/or pari-mutuel wagering helpful.
- 2 years of customer service experience required.
- Ability to intercede in customer/team members disputes in a professional, ethical manner.
- Bilingual skills helpful.
- Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Basic math and cash handling skills.
- Excellent oral communication skills required, including problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Ability to interact positively with employees and the general public.
- Ability to enter racing details in terminal quickly and accurately.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to prioritize, multi task and be flexible.
- Ability to work as part of a team; work with interruptions; and work with detailed information/data
Training:
- 2 year related experience and/or training; or combination
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
- Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency if applicable to perform the essential job functions
- Texas Racing Commission License (TXRC)
