The Coordinator, Security, provides security support services to the Client-Partners and the region. The incumbent ensures corporate and industrial security frameworks protect the organization against security threats. The incumbent ensures adherence to industrial security requirements. Seen as the Subject Matter Expert for all security related matters, the incumbent also ensures industrial security frameworks are respected by reviewing contractual requirements within the security scope, and ensuring physical security measures are followed.
KEY AND PERIODIC ACTIVITIES
The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative but not all-inclusive:
Primary
- Support other employees in implementing industrial security requirements
- Review and comment on security implementation plans from the consultants and contractors
- Collaborating with Client-Partner’s security personnel to ensure their security requirements are met
- Monitor and act on security incidents and violations
- Assist in the development of site-level security programs and policies
- Ensures adherence to corporate and industrial security requirements
- Support compliance to industrial security requirements
- Develop and maintain effective relationships within DCC, and with industry, the Client-Partners and/or stakeholders
- Manage risk
Other
- Assist in training and compliance activities within the site
- Organize security training and development at the site level
- Prepare and provide advice on site security plans
- Conduct annual security audits
- Other duties as assigned

Formal Education and/or Certification(s) and Experience
- Minimum: college diploma in security or related field with four years’ relevant experience, or the equivalent

- Apply project, contract and risk management techniques

- Provide functional advice and guidance to employees and to Client-Partners
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Typical office environment with occasional travel
- Some work may be located on environmental or construction sites; incumbent may occasionally be required to wear basic safety equipment
