Work Schedule:
- 100% onsite for the first 90 days, hybrid schedule after 90 days.
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
- Hybrid schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays on site; Tuesdays & Fridays remote
Job Summary:
The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for pulling and providing insurance quotes to clients, working with individual clients to determine their insurance needs, and managing the client accounts daily. This is a relationship-focused position; the person must have superb communication and interpersonal skills. A valid state license in property and casualty is required.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Help clients understand and determine their individual insurance coverage needs.
- Oversee and manage client accounts, including policy changes, applications, and claims.
- Ensure maximum client retention and generation through relationship building.
- Market new service offerings.
- Researching all the available policy options for the client.
- Thoroughly researching and analyzing insurance policies.
- Arranging insurance policies in an understandable fashion.
- Occasionally working with Underwriters to adopt policies.
- Communicating with Insurance Adjusters about the life cycle of each claim.
- Developing marketing strategies on how to attract new accounts.
- Promoting new insurance policies to existing customers.
- Participating in continuing education programs in insurance.
- Maintaining a good relationship with insurance carriers and general agencies.
- Ensuring that insurance rules are being followed.
- Minimum one year of experience in the personal lines insurance industry.
- Account management experience.
- Valid California State Property and Casualty License.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Thorough and keen attention to detail.
- Must be a team player.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with a large workload.
- Ability to use the software utilized within the company.
