Practice Setting: Private Outpatient Practice
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field. Five years of hands-on accounting managerial experience. CPA certification preferred but not required.
Compensation: $85,000 to $120,000 depending on experience plus benefits

Summary:
Manage accounting department providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all company activities that will assist management, its shareholders and other users in making educated economic decisions about the company's future.
Essential Functions:
Management:
- Maintain and keep current a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
- Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
Transactions:
- Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner
- Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly
- Process payroll in a timely manner
- Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
- Maintain the chart of accounts
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
- Maintain and enforce a system of controls over accounting transactions
Reporting:
- Issue timely and complete financial statements
- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
Compliance:
- Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Supervisory:
- This position is responsible for managing the accounting department. The Controller reports to the CFO.

- Healthcare: Medical, dental, and vision plans are offered to eligible full-time employees. We cover $325/month of the cost. All eligible employees are enrolled in an employer-paid life insurance policy as well.
- Paid Time Off We offer 3 weeks or 15 days/year for the first 2 years of employment, 4 weeks or 20 days/year when beginning your third year, 5 weeks or 25 days/year after 10 years of employment. All PTO accrues per pay period to equal these amounts annually. Additionally, we offer selected paid holidays.
