General Maintenance Painter

As a General Maintenance Painter, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and improving our facilities. Your work will directly contribute to a welcoming and well-kept environment for our residents. What You’ll Do:
- Perform preventative maintenance across our campus
- Complete assigned maintenance work orders efficiently
- Assist in overseeing work done by outside contractors
- Report any unusual occurrences or damages to the Director of Facilities
- Participate in renovations of apartments, duplexes, and cottages
- Paint interior and exterior surfaces, including walls, ceilings, woodwork, and columns
- Prepare surfaces, make minor wood repairs, and apply finishes such as stains, sealants, and primers
- Ensure living spaces maintain a fresh, well-maintained appearance
- Provide after-hours and weekend maintenance services as scheduled
- Maintain tools and equipment in a clean and functional condition
- Work collaboratively with team members to uphold a high standard of service
- Follow all safety procedures and emergency protocols
- Assist with snow removal when needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- At least one year of related painting or maintenance experience
- Experience with general maintenance and hand tools
- Strong communication skills in English (speaking and writing)
- A passion for working with seniors and individuals with disabilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
