About the position

Kongsberg Automotive is currently seeking an HR Associate, this position is located at the Suffield, CT facilty, working with the FCS team. 

This position supports diferent aspects of the Human Resources activities including, but not limited to, recruitment, new hire on-boarding, employee records, facilitation of training. This is a very hands-on position.

The incumbent must be a self-starter who is able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, dealing with ambiguity and changing priorities with ease. The role reports to the Regional HR Manager located in Suffield CT.  

Responsibilities

As a HR Associate, you will be key member of our team, contributing to ensure the competitiveness of our comapny. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Recruitment: Take ownership for recruitment, including coordinating temporary labor needs to meet production goals, Partner with the Regional HR manager  throughout the full-cycle recruitment process to build a pipeline of talent for current and future hiring needs.
  • Onboarding: In charge of planning the Onboarding process for new employees, including benefits enrollment.
  • Employee Files: Responsible for record keeping and maintenance of staff files and other related documents.
  • Training: Take a lead role in working with Plant Management to identify training opportunities.
  • Day to day: Assist with day to day operations of the Pe&Cu functions and duties.

        Employee evaluation: 90 days evaluation process for new employees and provide the EJQR Form for new employees

Requirements

Work experience *

Required*

1 Year of recruiting experience.

Desirable

Working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods

Education/ Degree(s) *

Required*

Bachelor level degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field; will consider Associate’s degree with commensurate experience

Desirable

Working knowledge of applicant tracking and HRIS systems

Job and IT specific knowledge*

Required*

Basic know-how of the People and Culture  department.

Desirable

Excellent command of MS Office and any relevant HR software.

Soft skills and abilities*

Required*

spends a significant portion of their time finding resumes from professional job search sites, networking and personal interaction,accumulate a pool of candidates and keep that information organized.

Desirable

Whether this position speaks with a candidate or hiring manager in person, on the phone or electronically, it is important to know how to efficiently ask questions that help them understand the applicant’s skills or the company’s job requirements.
