Job Description
General Duties
- Under limited supervision this position repairs any equipment when certified, coordinates all external vendor visits and monitors quality of work as it relates to the "facility complex".
- Directs workflow for all cleaning programs including office/warehouse/exterior/other for all areas throughout the complex.
- Directs cleaning workflows for facility maintenance programs, assist where necessary.
- Complies with all company policies and safety regulations while performing any and all maintenance in facility.
- Active member of the Joint Health & Safety committee including workplace inspections and support of any recommendations by the committee.
- Responsible for coordination of all facility repairs including sprinkler, conveyor, equipment, dock levelers, door seals, office, lighting, landscaping, snow removal.
- Responsible for developing/executing all recycling programs in the facility complex.
- Monitor Landscaping/Snow Removal for quality and adherence to contract.
- Follows manager's direction and manages time appropriately to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Observes, records, reports and/or repairs unsafe working conditions.
- Meet goals and objectives as set by manager.
- Maintains a reliable and punctual attendance.
- Accurate delivery of CPR, First Aid or the use of the AED.
- Support setup and execution of any social events such as BBQs, Pot Luck, or other company functions.
- Travel to different suppliers time-to-time to pick up parts or stock.
- Movement of office furniture from different areas based on requests.
- Flexible hours based on repair timelines or contractor requirements.
- Special requests from all divisions located at this office.
Minimum Years of Related Experience
- 4 – 6 Years
- Experience in maintenance, cleaning and other related occupations.
Skills & Abilities Required
- Strong knowledge of machinery and tools including their design, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations, policies, and procedures and work instructions.
- Ability to coordinate projects with facilities maintenance team.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with teammates and management.
- Assist in other areas with a willingness to learn new things.
- Ability to write clear and grammatically correct routine reports and correspondence.
- Mechanically inclined and able to work with your mind and hands.
