Role purpose

The dentsu Media Practice delivers the right blend of services to Local & International clients to build their brands and drive business performance. We do this by bringing together media applications and services to create world class end to end solutions that grow their business.

The primary responsibility of the Data and Technology Solutions Director is to establish a way of working with BMW clients and the iProspect client team that deliver accelerated business outcomes for BMW.

These data solutions are based on an understanding BMW’s business, their consumers and audiences and outcome-based effectiveness solutions. We call this “Networked Intelligence”.

Networked Intelligence is applied end to end across business growth, consumer insight, customer experience (creative, production, direct and media) media activation and marketing effectiveness. We believe the application of data and technology will generate accelerated value for BMW and to dentsu.

Key areas of responsibility are:

  • Client Vision – Working alongside the BMW teams, dentsu Media teams and the Global Data and Technology team you will define the vision for the use of data build the capability, and product solution that unlock business growth for BMW
  • Client Solutions – Working closely with internal teams in market to ensure our data and technology solution is relevant for their clients at BMW. This includes KPI development , insight generation and measurement solutions that are relevant for BMW brands and the marketing campaigns they run
  • Product development – Working alongside our platform development team in Data and Technology to bring the best in class thinking and future product enhancements that keep our proposition relevant today and future-proofed moving forward

Key Accountabilities

Client leadership

  • Be the architect of the Global Data and Technology capability, commercial and operational models with brand and client teams
  • Embed data-driven solutions into our working process for BMW end-to-end
  • Create feedback loops with BMW clients and local markets, ensuring our solution is best in class, anticipating future client/market need

Client delivery and development

  • Establish and manage the process with BMW clients and dentsu’s D&T Practice for End-to-End Platform delivery
  • Ensure flawless digital activation infrastructure for our single European hub
  • Translate and create value from effectiveness measurement delivered by our single European hub
  • Work with global and local client teams, understanding strategy and activation opportunities that are rooted in BMW business opportunities and challenges

Essential Skills

  • A German speaking digital native
  • Experience of data, identity, audience solutions with a strong understanding of the business and client challenges related to the application of data to marketing
  • Exposure to agency teams with strong analytical skills with a fundamental understanding of data and how it can be used to deliver client value in the media and marketing landscapes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability tailor the language and depth of communication based on situation and stakeholder knowledge
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand and forecast revenue, costs and build out media commercial models with high attention to detail
  • Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships, interact and influence with a range of senior stakeholders internally and externally
  • Experience in a media or holding company highly desired
