The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Manager to join the Electronics Programs Organization in El Segundo, CA.
Position Responsibilities:
Recruits and develops employees supporting the Space Parts and Production Readiness organization within Common Products
Coordinates Space Parts related EAC across programs to drive forecast quality and consistency
Manages Space Parts procurement forecasting across programs to meet kit and quality requirements supporting Unit IPT Leads
Monitors and supports IPT earned value variance reporting across programs
Conducts weekly Unit level reviews for IPTs and programs for both Hi-Rel and Fabricated Parts
Collaborates with Engineering and Supplier Management to drive improvements in Unit development processes impacted by Space Parts commonality and availability to meet performance and schedule targets
Provides support to new business proposals leveraging historical actuals and expert judgment
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
10+ years’ experience working with military or space related programs and technologies
5+ years’ experience in a leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completion
5+ years’ experience as a CAM (cost account manager) using EVM (earned value management)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
In depth knowledge of El Segundo material demand and procurement systems
Experience managing sub-tier suppliers
Work Location:
This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 50% of the time.
