ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Oversee the operations of the Corporate Finance Department, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation and distribution of financial management reports, including monthly internal and external financial statements, annual budgets, and audit support.
  2. Manage the Cash Applications Department to ensure accurate processing and reporting of financial data in alignment with financial statements, audit requirements, and budget timelines.
  3. Establish, implement, and maintain robust general ledger systems and internal controls to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of financial systems, processes, and data.
  4. Provide timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting to the CFO to support strategic decision-making and operational planning.
  5. Lead the preparation and delivery of special reports and financial data for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring adherence to established deadlines.
  6. Lead, coach, and develop team members within the Finance Department, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  7. Monitor key financial metrics, proactively identify trends or risks, and recommend corrective actions to maintain financial health and compliance.
  8. Oversee the preparation for audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely and successful completion of financial and compliance audits.
  9. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  10. Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments (e.g., Operations, HR, Sales) to align financial processes and drive business performance.
  11. Evaluate and implement finance-related technology systems and tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial operations.
  12. Participate in strategic planning processes by providing financial forecasts, modeling, and scenario analysis to help guide business decisions.
  13. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the overall success of the department and organization.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  2. CPA certification is preferred.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including managerial or supervisory responsibilities.
  4. Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team with a focus on collaboration, accountability, and results.
  5. Demonstrated discretion and ability to maintain strict confidentiality of financial and personnel information.
  6. Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP/accounting systems preferred.
  7. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  8. Strong analytical mindset with a high level of intellectual curiosity—proactively seeks to understand the "why" behind the numbers and continuously looks for ways to improve processes.

This job operates in a physical office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands, arms and fingers to handle and lift objects up to 10 pounds.
