The goal of this role is to ensure Mahmee members receive prompt, comprehensive, high-quality perinatal wraparound care to achieve birth outcomes that exceed national averages across all major categories.
Level 1 pay range 30-37/hour
Level 2 pay range 38-47/hour
To accomplish this goal, candidates must have strong clinical knowledge and experience in:
Providing clinical oversight to multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, consistent, and coordinated care delivery
Evidence-based risk assessment of perinatal conditions across the pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum continuum, including but not limited to:
- Hypertensive disorders, cardiac conditions, gestational and pre-gestational diabetes.
- Fetal development concerns, including fetal movement, growth, and demise
- Disease prevention, health maintenance, and addressing social determinants of health
- Emotional or psychological health issues
- Pregnancy, Labor, and Birth Support
- Best practices and perinatal norms
- Physiologic birth
- Preparing patients on routine and complex hospital-based interventions (inductions, C-sections, tubal ligations, readmissions)
- Supporting birth and postpartum plans
- Trauma-Informed practices
Postpartum care for both birthing persons and newborns, including identifying and managing medical concerns
Promoting equitable care and supporting historically marginalized and at-risk populations
Sharing expertise with clinical team members to improve care strategies across settings
Key Skills and Qualifications
Perinatal clinical expertise
Communication: Strong verbal, written, and EHR documentation skills; collaborative across diverse teams.
Equity & Advocacy: Dedicated to equitable care; experienced in supporting marginalized and at-risk populations.
Telehealth & Technology: Proficient in virtual care platforms and remote monitoring tools.
Core Competencies: Critical thinking, risk assessment, problem-solving, adaptability, initiative, advocacy, digital literacy, strong work ethic, and organizational/time management skills.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Proactively flag physical and mental health issues and coordinate care.
Manage hypertensive disorders: assess readings, provide medication education, navigate care, and escalate concerns per protocols.
Monitor patients via messaging and chart reviews to address questions, track key health data, and escalate concerns per protocol.
Conduct virtual visits, document thoroughly, and assign treatment and care plan items.
Perform follow-ups with patients and providers to ensure care completion and close referral loops.
Lead support groups, teach classes, and contribute to content development and research.

This is a remote position. Because of this structure, strong written communication skills, time management skills, and personal accountability are critical to us. Patient care at Mahmee is provided seven days a week, so team members will have some weekend and holiday responsibilities.
