Job Title: Operations Technical Training Manager

Location: Winamac, IN

Shift: Flex shift 7am-4pm / Hybrid on Friday

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Technical Training Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing technical training programs for our operations staff. This role is crucial in ensuring that our team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Training Programs: Design and develop comprehensive technical training programs tailored to the needs of the operations team. This includes creating training materials, manuals, and online resources.
  • Implement Training: Conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars to educate employees on operational procedures, safety protocols, and technical skills.
  • Evaluate Training Effectiveness: Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, testing, and performance metrics. Make necessary adjustments to improve training outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Departments: Work closely with various departments, including EH&S, IT, and HR, to ensure training programs are aligned with company goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain Training Records: Keep accurate records of all training activities, including attendance, certifications, and progress reports.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in technical training, work instructions, and operations management.
  • Supervision: Lead the training team; 2 direct reports with expanded future leadership opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Education, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or related work experience equal to 8 years will also be considered 
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in operations management or technical training, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience.

  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of operational procedures and technical skills.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to design and implement effective training programs.
    • Proficiency in using training software and tools.
    • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in training and development or operations management are a plus.
