Job Description
This is a hybrid role.
What you’ll do
- Develop a streamlined approach to corporate giving.
- Manage the corporate sponsorship donations portfolio from review to activation.
- Meet with nonprofit partners to provide guidance on corporate funding opportunities as it relates to BBY’s giving parameters.
- Perform due diligence on corporate applications to ensure the organizations are eligible, review funding history and alignment to criteria and make funding recommendations.
- Conduct correspondence for sponsorship determinations with nonprofits and internal BBY stakeholders.
- Work in collaboration with the Social Impact team, BBY board members, I&B, BBY Communications and other appropriate internal teams to fill Best Buy tables, submit logo/ad placements, secure/prepare BBY speakers, etc.
- Evaluate portfolio of giving based on success metrics.
- Lead exceptional project management and collaborate with Giving team to maintain operation efficiency.
- Provide signature program assistance on Teen Tech Center/Career Pathway pilot initiatives, grant funding level re-evaluation, grantee survey report outs, etc.
- Manage giving platform (i.e. application/report updates) and workflows to ensure seamless execution of the Giving team’s activities.
- Coordinate team-wide processes such as scheduling, meeting preparation, and documentation to enable effective collaboration.
- Prepare and organize professional materials, including agendas, reports, and presentations for internal and external use.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize tools and templates that enhance team collaboration and operational efficiency.
Basic qualifications
- 5 years managing community partner relationships.
- 5 years working in a corporate social impact, foundation and/or nonprofit setting.
- 3 years project/program management experience.
- Expert in MS office – Word, Excel, PPT.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Deep understanding of trust-based philanthropy.
- Detail-oriented individual with ability to take initiative/self-starter.
- Experience with a Grants Management database, Submittable preferred or equivalent data management experience.
