The Role:
We’re looking for a passionate and strategic University Tech Recruiter to join our team and help shape the future of our technical early-career talent pipeline. In this role, you’ll serve as the bridge between our university partners and internal engineering, product, and data teams—sourcing and engaging the next generation of innovators.
You’ll partner with hiring managers, university stakeholders, and the University Programs team to deliver a best-in-class candidate experience while identifying top-tier tech talent through internships, co-ops, and new graduate roles.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Data, and other technical teams to understand hiring needs and define ideal candidate profiles for intern and new grad roles
- Own full-cycle recruiting for university technical roles (sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer delivery)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with targeted universities, faculty, and student organizations
- Deliver an inclusive and high-touch candidate experience that reflects SoFi’s brand and values
- Track pipeline metrics and hiring outcomes using ATS and CRM tools; analyze data to improve results
- Collaborate with the University Programs team on intern and new grad programming, conversion strategy, and long-term talent development
- Support recruiting events on an as-needed basis, including both virtual and in-person
What You’ll Need:
- 2+ years of experience in technical recruiting, university recruiting, or related talent acquisition roles
- Strong understanding of the university recruitment landscape, especially for software engineering, data science, and related disciplines
- Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions and events in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Passion for connecting with early-career talent and creating exceptional candidate experiences
- Experience with ATS tools (e.g., Greenhouse) and sourcing platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Handshake)
Nice to Have:
- Experience recruiting for internships or new grad roles in high-growth tech companies
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals or familiarity with technical assessments
