TRAINING INSTRUCTOR

Salary Range: $63800 - $109795 Per Year
Job Summary: You will serve as a TRAINING INSTRUCTOR in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY to include work sites of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility. Applicants will only be considered for positions within their own UIC. For example: If you are within UIC 4523A, you will only be considered for positions within 4523A.
Major Duties:
- You will conduct need assessments and task analyses to determine learning objectives.
- You will prepare lesson plans and training materials based on course objectives.
- You will be responsible for improving and modifying the training for assigned courses.
- You will conduct training and assess progress of students in meeting desired objectives, including advising and assisting them to improve their performance.
- You will prepare and maintain training records, progress reports, qualifications and other documentation as required to certify worker qualifications for audit and historical purposes.
- You will develop and administer written and practical examinations.
Qualifications: For the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing, evaluating, and modifying training materials (course outline, course content, lesson plans, exercises, examinations, student evaluations), determining instructional approach, and providing subject-matter classroom training to others within an organization. For the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector participating in the development or evaluation and modification of training materials (e.g., course outline, course content, lesson plans, exercises, examinations) and providing subject-matter classroom training to others within an organization.
