Salary Range: $45230 - $46230 Per Year
Job Summary: The FMWRC mission is to create and maintain "FIRST CHOICE" MWR products and services for America's Army, essential to a ready, self-reliant force. This position is located with the JBLM Outdoor Recreation Program. Major Duties:
- Plans, schedules, organizes and implements outdoor activities. Such activities include but are not limited to cross-country skiing, hiking, biking, canoeing, camping, trips, mountain climbing, trips, etc.
- Demonstrates techniques and instructs participants in the use of equipment. Coordinates with installation, county, and state officials on programs and information related to outdoor recreation and required licenses.
- Researches, plans and develops or enlarges outdoor recreation areas.
- Prepares standard operating procedures. May assist in the preparation and development of the annual operating budget and 5- year plan.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Experience OR a combination of experience and education that provided the knowledge of the goals, principles, methods, and techniques of recreation programs and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups.(Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree with major study in outdoor recreation and parks; recreation management; youth, public, urban or community recreation; or special population recreation is qualifying experience.)
