Job Summary: This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Technician/Administrative Support Work Category at the Entry/Developmental Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA BUSINESS OPERATIONS DIVISION.
Major Duties:
- Provides assistance with administering traditional security programs AT/FP and performs as a member of the Emergency Management Team.
- Assist with ensuring compliance with established DoD, DISA and USAF Security and force protection policies, practices, procedures, and techniques for the command.
- Assists with implementation of local policies and procedures for the protection of personnel, protection of national security information (NSI), national defense and other sensitive information originated or controlled by the command.
- Conducts random inspections of individuals and property entering or existing DISA Global. To ensure personnel, material and property are protected against injury, loss, destruction, compromise, or sabotage.
Qualifications: Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-06, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in assisting with the development and directing the execution of all physical, information, personnel, and operations security programs, anti-terrorism, and force protection activities. To qualify at the GG-07, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in assisting with the development and directing the execution of all physical, information, personnel, and operations security programs, anti-terrorism, and force protection activities and performing emergency management duties. Additional Information Cont'd: This position has been identified as a Defense Security Position (DSP) in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) Manual 3305.13-M, "DoD Security Accreditation and Certification" and selectees will be required to meet the certification requirements of the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) program. As such, the individual selected for this position must obtain and/or maintain a Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC). Upon appointment to this position selectees will have two years to meet the applicable SPeD certification requirements and will be required to sign a statement acknowledging the SFPC requirements and agreeing to permit the DoD to access and monitor the certification qualifications associated with this position.
