Position Summary: As the Senior Director, Business Intelligence, you will lead a dynamic BI team in delivering impactful insights and analytics that support critical business decisions. This role oversees the development of dashboards, reports, and metrics, ensuring accuracy and relevance across internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, project management, and subject-matter expertise to guide initiatives, resolve escalated issues, and contribute to functional strategy and performance goals.
Essential functions, responsibilities:
Oversee and manage a business intelligence team focused on providing insight and aiding business decision-making.
Development and manage projects to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analysis addressing impactful business issues or questions.
Lend significant subject-matter expertise to enhance projects with insightful takeaways and perspectives.
Collaborate with project stakeholders to design and plan initiatives.
Ensure that business intelligence analysts have the tools, training, and understanding of the field to produce effective dashboards, reports, and metrics.
Responsible for the accuracy of metrics reported internally and externally to key stakeholders.
Manage subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexities.
Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
Assist in developing KPIs to drive simplified and accurate budgets.
Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
Other similar and/or related duties as assigned.
Key Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence, Corporate Finance, or Data Analytics.
5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing cross-functional teams in BI, analytics, or finance.
Proficient in Business Intelligence Software and Data Virtualization Tools.
Demonstrated expertise in Business Analytics, Data Visualization, and Quantitative & Qualitative Analysis.
Strong background in Project Management and Strategic Implementation.
Proven ability to design and execute data-driven strategies that support business goals.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
