What you will be doing:
The Sr. Pharmacy Business Intelligence Analyst will act as the principal technical expert responsible for integrating and executing our Pharmacy Business Intelligence Framework within the Pharmacy program to support strategic contracting and member-facing projects. This position will support knowledge distribution to internal customers, back-end data management and development, feasibility analysis, address redundancy, and develop analytic solutions for any new member-facing dashboards and tools.
In this role, the analyst will offer comprehensive technical project management support. Key responsibilities include conducting requirements analysis, developing solutions through advanced analytic models, implementing technical enhancements, performing data audits and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of compliance-related data, automating processes to facilitate the program, addressing data issues and risks, and maintaining thorough documentation. Furthermore, this position will support and provide a centralized delivery mechanism accompanied by service level agreements (SLAs) for analytic deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis and Interpretation: 40%
- Proficient in integrating and analyzing multiple large datasets
- Perform complex data analysis and tool development using SQL and other tools.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data across large data sets
- Interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- BI Tool Development: 40%
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau and Power BI.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across BI tools.
- Optimize BI tool performance for speed and efficiency.
- Collaboration and Communication: 10%
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
- Communicate complex data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Present data insights and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Provide technical support for BI tools and reports.
- Problem Solving and Innovation: 5%
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes and decision-making.
- Develop new BI solutions to address business challenges.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in BI and data analytics.
- Project Management: 5%
- Manage and prioritize multiple BI projects.
- Implement BI strategies to achieve business objectives.
Required Qualifications
Work Experience:
Years of Applicable Experience - 4 or more yearsEducation:
High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Skills:
Technical Skills:
- Strong SQL skills (Biq Query, SQL Server)
- Python, JavaScript, automation tools
- Proficiency with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
- Experience with version control tools (Dataform, Git, DBT)
- Experience with data warehousing and data modeling.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Apps, Pages, Flow, Automate)
- Strong Business Analysis/Project Management Skills that is very detailed and process oriented
- Knowledge of data visualization techniques.
- Business Acumen:
- Understanding of business processes and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ability to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
- Experience working with financial data and reports.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
