Role Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Billing Process and Compliance Analyst to join our Billing Operations team. This role is critical in ensuring our billing processes are efficient, compliant, and well-documented. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including technology, finance, and project stakeholders to drive process improvements and maintain compliance with SOX requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for billing processes.
- Evaluate current billing workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency and automation.
- Collaborate with technology and project teams on system integrations and process enhancements.
- Perform and document monthly SOX audit controls and ensure compliance with internal policies.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and insights.
- Monitor and report on process performance metrics and compliance status.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years in a finance operations or billing-related role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited, not-for-profit college or university.
- A track record of commitment to prior employers.
- Strong understanding of billing operations and process improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with Python and SQL for process automation and data analysis.
