Role Overview
The Worker Operations team at Clipboard Health services 60 000+ plus professionals and is hiring (1) highly autonomous and impact-driven Business Intelligence Manager to lead the analytics and reporting infrastructure that powers decision-making across our frontline marketplace functions. This is a important leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of operations, data, and business strategy. You will own the structure and performance of reporting tools, KPIs, and dashboards that help us manage everything from worker supply and onboarding, to performance management, fulfillment, and retention.
In this role, you’ll manage a globally distributed team of BI Analysts and partner closely with frontline operators, team leads, and execs to deliver actionable insights. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our operations teams are equipped with accurate, timely, and relevant data to make fast, high-quality decisions.
Primary Responsibilities
Own Worker Ops Reporting in Metabase:
Lead the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of dashboards and reports in Metabase. Ensure visibility across key workflows like onboarding funnel performance, shift fulfillment rates, Tier 1 agent quality, and workforce coverage.
Manage & Uplevel a Global BI Team:
Mentor a high-performing team of BI Analysts embedded within Worker Ops. Set a high bar for analytical thinking, data integrity, and business impact. Ensure team output is fast, clear, and trusted.
Translate Business Questions into Operational Insights:
Partner with frontline managers and senior leadership to clarify needs, challenge assumptions, and translate fuzzy business problems into clean data questions with actionable answers.
Standardize Metrics & Definitions:
Own and enforce clear definitions for KPIs across Worker Operations. Ensure every stakeholder is aligned on how performance is measured and where the source of truth lives in Metabase.
Drive a Culture of Proactive Insights:
Don’t just deliver dashboards, flag issues, identify opportunities, and recommend action. Your work should lead to fewer blind spots and smarter decisions across operations.
Scale Self-Service in Metabase:
Make data accessible and intuitive. Build and maintain clean, navigable dashboards with strong documentation to support a culture of self-service across operations and leadership.
Ensure Data Quality at the Source:
Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Technical Operations to identify data gaps, propose schema improvements, and ensure the Worker Ops team can rely on what's in Metabase.
Top Traits Required to Be Successful in This Role
Extreme Accountability:
You don’t just answer questions, you own outcomes. You follow through, escalate blockers, and move quickly to ensure stakeholders aren’t left waiting.
Structured Thinking & Analytical Rigor:
You break down problems clearly, define your assumptions, and demand precision from your team. You don’t just explore data, you tell the story behind it.
Operational Focus:
You understand that every data point maps to a person, process, or problem in the marketplace. You prioritize work that drives better execution at scale.
Technical Fluency:
You write clean SQL, design intuitive dashboards in Metabase, and know how to QA joins and filters. You don’t need to build pipelines but you understand what good data looks like.
Communication & Stakeholder Management:
You’re direct, concise, and business-focused. You push for clarity in requests and are comfortable telling senior leaders when they’re asking the wrong question.
