We are currently searching for a PRN Nurse Aide to join our team at our Mallard Creek Ambulatory Surgery Center location.  

The ASC Nurse Aide is expected to function as a team member in the ASC environment through cross-training to all primary areas including Preop, PACU, OR, SPD and the Front Desk.  The ASC NA will assist in providing patient care under the direct supervision and control of the ASC Registered Nurse.  This position assists in maintaining a clean, safe environment and performs job responsibilities in a safe manner.  Maintains clinical and professional competencies as appropriate to the needs of the patient population served

Essential Functions: 

  • Primarily assists with Operating Room (OR) turnover and cleaning in the perioperative areas as needed.
  • Assists with gathering supplies needed for the same day and next day surgical cases
  • Orients patients/families to pre-op area and instruct patients on safety measures
  • Supports patients with activities of daily living (ADL) as needed.
  • Takes vital signs and height and weight measurements.
  • Provides comfort and reassurance to patients.
  • Transports patients from the recovery room to the car via wheelchair at nurse’s requests. 
  • Maintains Pre-post patient bays in clean and orderly condition
  • Assists with clerical work such as answering phones, making copies, putting together patient packets.
  • Assists with putting away stock.

Qualifications: 

  • Graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Aide program
