About the Job:
The Facilities Management Department is seeking a dynamic and motivated Maintenance Worker I to join our team in a Limited Duration role*. We’re looking for a quick‑thinking, solutions‑driven professional with a strong and versatile background in facilities maintenance. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of maintaining and enhancing our facilities and infrastructure, directly strengthening day‑to‑day airport operations and ensuring everything runs safely, smoothly, and efficiently. Your contributions will make a meaningful impact not only on the SAN traveler experience, but also on the overall reliability and success of airport operations.
*A limited role is a non-permanent position, ongoing full-time 40 hours per week position with eligibility for all benefits as permanent positions, continuation of the position is subject to annual budgetary approval.

*Driving is an Essential Function
This role requires regular driving as a critical part of performing work-related duties, specifically involving the operation of Airport Authority vehicles. A valid California driver’s license is required, along with strict adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Applicants must maintain an acceptable driving record to operate Authority vehicles. Compliance with Airport Authority vehicle use policies, including safety protocols and reporting requirements, is mandatory. Applicants must acknowledge that driving Airport Authority vehicles is an essential function of this role.
