Location

Even though our company operates exclusively on a remote basis, you are required to reside in Europe (continent) and have legal work eligibility within the country you will be based.

About

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Platform Engineer to join our Platform team. This team is responsible for building and maintaining Lokalise PaaS solution.

You will empower the Lokalise Product Engineering team by constructing and upholding infrastructure, enhancing tooling, refining developer experience, and participating in resolving incidents.

You Will

  • Enhance the organization's SaaS solution with a scalable, secure, highly available, and reliable platform.
  • Proactively detect technology stack risks/control gaps and automate routine tasks for increased operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate current processes, and suggest enhancements or new approaches, including observability, upgrades, tuning, etc., to optimize performance.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to deliver top-tier infrastructure components.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize developer workflows and enhance overall productivity.
  • Facilitate internal knowledge transfer to colleagues through communication and effective documentation of technical processes, procedures, and systems.


You Must Have

  • 5+ years of experience as an SRE/DevOps/platform/cloud engineer, with extensive exposure to Unix/Linux environments as a system administrator.
  • Strong programming skills in at least one language (Python or Golang preferred), and willing to learn an additional one if needed.
  • Experience with AWS.
  • Expertise in running containerized applications on Kubernetes, in production and at scale, using technologies such as AWS EKS, ArgoCD, FluxCD, OPA Gatekeeper, Falco, etc.
  • Experience enhancing self-service tooling, automation, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines, fostering a culture of code quality, and promoting knowledge sharing.
  • Experience working with automation tools such as Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, and HashiCorp Vault.
  • Experience with observability tools like Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, and Graylog.


It will be considered a significant advantage if you bring

  • Experience in setting up and administering data stores and search engines like MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
  • Extensive experience setting up monitoring and alerting.
  • Worked with automatic security scanning tools to monitor AWS, Docker images, and Kubernetes.
