Sub-Saharan AfricaBlock is looking for a Senior Manager - APAC Income Tax to join our tax compliance and tax accounting/provision team. You will report to the Tax Compliance and Tax Provision Lead and will be part of the Income Tax team. You will assist with all corporate income tax compliance and tax accounting/provision matters relating to Block’s Australia and certain Asia Pacific region companies.Sub-Saharan Africa

  • Sub-Saharan AfricaManage and review all corporate income tax and fringe benefits tax compliance filings (outsourced to different service providers) concerning Block’s Australia companies and certain companies in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaOversee the completion of the corporate income tax provision for the statutory financial statements of Block’s Australia companies and certain companies in the Asia Pacific regionSub-Saharan Africa
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaSupport Block’s SEC quarterly and annual global income tax provision process with regard to its companies in Australia and the Asia Pacific regionSub-Saharan Africa
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaSupport the Global Transfer Pricing team’s calculation and review of quarterly and annual transfer pricing calculations related to the Asia Pacific regionSub-Saharan Africa
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaPartner with tax, accounting, and finance teams within Block and outside service providersSub-Saharan Africa
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaMonitor proposed and enacted tax legislative changes and communicate the effects of those changes for the business.
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaProvide ad hoc support to the Tax Advisory team on different business and tax-driven projectsSub-Saharan Africa
  • Sub-Saharan AfricaContribute to the transformation of the income tax function to scale for growth, which includes tax technology adoption, process simplification and standardization, and the use of data and technologySub-Saharan Africa
