Role Description

This is a remote contract role for a Quality Assurance Test Lead - QA at RELQ TECHNOLOGIES. The Test Lead will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance process, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and managing the testing team. The day-to-day tasks may include developing and executing test plans, conducting quality audits, and implementing quality management practices.


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Manual Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software products. As a QA Manual Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring our products meet the required standards and are free of defects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts such as test data, data validation, and scripts.
  • Execute and evaluate manual test cases and report test results.
  • Identify, isolate, and document bugs clearly and concisely.
  • Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve defects.
  • Participate in requirements/design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
  • Work collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum team environment.
  • Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in manual software testing.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), software development methodologies, and quality processes.
  • Experience with various testing types including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
  • Proficient in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
