Constructability Coordinator - Electrical Journeyman License Required bei Cache Valley Electric

Job Purpose: Coordinate, facilitate, and plan for various electrical construction projects to assist prefabrication and construction

processes.

Duties:

• Assist in the coordination of the project schedule and potential field date changes.

• Coordinate and pull plan the BIM Schedule and Construction Schedule with each project team.

• Prepare and host various internal meetings for each project.

• Coordinate with VDC on the creation and maintenance of each project’s 3D model and deliverables:

o Review construction drawings and specifications and relay information.

o Attend and participate in GC BIM coordination meetings for each project.

o Review 3D model daily for constructability and quality.

o Review and uphold established standards of deliverables.

• Coordinate with Field Leadership to manage prefab opportunities from initial planning through to final installation:

o Review and plan each project’s prefab item needs.

o Participate with first “in place” installation of any prefab items and support in understanding the prefab intent.

o Provide training on digital tools and VDC processes.

o Be on-site at least once each week to receive feedback from individuals installing prefab items.

• Coordinate with prefab on the completion and delivery of prefab items:

o Utilize digital tools to create work packages and issue them to prefab.

o Review and uphold established standards for item builds.

o Be in the office at least once each week to QC & coordinate prefab items.

o Material take-off and inventory for each project’s prefab needs.

Requirements

Proficiency with various software applications (e.g. Microsoft 360 platform, Navisworks, GTP Stratus, and Bluebeam).

• Have and maintain a journeyman electrical license

• Familiarity with VDC tools and processes.

• Experience in the electrical contracting industry, particularly on large-scale projects.

• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing electrical plans/blueprints/drawings.

• Experience with contract documents (e.g. drawings, subcontracts, addendums, specifications, and change orders).

• Problem-solving mindset with focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities, personnel, and projects.

• A willingness to learn, embrace, and build a lean culture.

• Self-motivated and proactive.
