The Area Vice President will lead a highly skilled team of 9 Specialists that own driving meaningful customer value and sustained YOY sales growth for our clients located in Texas.

 

Essential Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a highly skilled team of 9 Account Executives that own driving meaningful customer value and sustained YOY sales growth for our clients located in Texas.
  • Leverage deep knowledge and experience to help identify areas of future growth and develop plan to execute on those on a three-year time horizon
  • Identify and participate in industry and company sponsored events and panels to further demonstrate thought leadership of D&B.
  • Team member development/talent management:
    o Ensure we have the right level of talent in place to be successful through continual evaluation
    o Consistent coaching on specific opportunities with team members
    o Work with team members on their personal development plans to ensure they are consistently learning and improving
    o Work with team to expand relationships with C-level and senior members of clients in order to develop more meaningful customer relationships offering greater value
  • Ensure plan in place to achieve performance objectives on a monthly basis at both a team and associate level
  • Consistent measurement, tracking, and reporting of key financial metrics to include new opportunities, expenses, overall sales, etc
  • Consistent opportunity and forecast review with team members as well as the Channel leader
  • Consistently demonstrate and reinforce behavior consistent with our values as an organization and reinforce the financial controls consistent with our practices
  • Work collaboratively with internal partners within different functional areas to ensure tight alignment of priorities and resources
  • Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 10 to 12+ years
  • Master's Degree Preferred
  • Essential Skills and/or Certifications

  • Combined selling and sales leadership experience of 15+ years with large, complex customers with heavy focus on technology companies.
  • Strong executive presence
  • Demonstration of original thought in business plan development and history of successful execution against those plans 
  • Proven success with driving new and existing client engagements in a highly complex, changing environment to ensure achievement of objectives and significant customer value
  • Risk taker
  • Proven strategic thinker
  • Focus on team before self
  • Results oriented, self-starter who is able to effectively influence across multiple role levels, drive priorities, and own outcomes in a matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a geographically remote team of associates in a manner that instills a strong belief in achieving team goals, focuses on preparedness, creates a passion for winning and personal development/growth.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
