Role:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Store Manager to lead our summer retail pop up team. You will oversee daily retail operations at a seasonal activation, manage staff, and serve as the primary point of contact between the store and David's Events team.
Responsibilities:
Team & Scheduling:
- Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage across all shifts
- Lead team briefings and serve as the on-site point of contact for staff throughout each shift
- Manage communications with team members including shift updates, operational changes, and day-to-day coordination
- Support onboarding and training of team members on store procedures
Store Operations:
- Oversee all day-to-day store operations and ensure smooth execution across each shift
- Create, document, and enforce protocols for cleaning, sanitation, and general store upkeep
- Maintain strong visual presentation of displays and ensure product and supply levels are consistently managed
- Operate and oversee use of the point of sale system, handling cash and digital payment reconciliation
- Assist with operational activities including scooping ice cream, walking guests through the menu, and checking customers out at the register
- Uphold and enforce food safety and sanitation standards across the team
Events & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with David's Events team to coordinate in-store activations and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Serve as the operational lead for any events or activations taking place at the store
- Communicate inventory needs, staffing challenges, and customer feedback to leadership
Requirements
- Required:
- Prior experience in a supervisor or team lead role in retail, food service, or a similar environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage a small team
- High energy and a hands-on approach, comfortable stepping in wherever needed
- Availability to work Wednesday through Sunday with some flexibility
- Preferred:
- Experience managing staff schedules and handling day-to-day team communications
- Background in foodservice and/or retail
- ServeSafe Certified

- Compensation: $25 per hour (plus tips where applicable)
