What You’ll Do
- Prepare patients for exams, take histories (HPI), and assist providers during visits
- Document patient encounters in the EMR in real time
- Assist with procedures (biopsies, surgeries, injections, etc.)
- Support patient flow and ensure a high-quality patient experience
- Maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and manage clinical supplies
- Communicate with patients regarding results, follow-ups, and care plans
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Recent graduate or graduating senior on a pre-med or healthcare track
- Strong interest in pursuing medical, PA, or healthcare professional school
- Ability to work full-time for at least 1 year (gap year commitment preferred)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and practices relevant to dermatology.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff effectively.
