About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance & Accounting team. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial operations across multiple entities. You will play a key role in financial close processes, general ledger management, and multi-state tax compliance while partnering closely with leadership to improve processes and strengthen internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage general ledger activities across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Prepare journal entries, perform complex reconciliations, and analyze variances
  • Oversee multi-state sales and use tax compliance, including filings and audits
  • Maintain state registrations and coordinate with external tax advisors
  • Support intercompany transactions and consolidations
  • Assist in preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Lead external audits by providing documentation and analysis
  • Partner with internal teams to improve accounting processes and controls
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and tax regulations

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience with account reconciliations and financial close processes
  • Hands-on experience with multi-state tax compliance and sales and use tax

Preferred:

  • CPA or CPA-eligible
  • Experience with ERP systems, Sage Intacct a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members

Work Environment and Schedule

  • Office or hybrid work environment
  • Monday through Friday schedule, with flexibility between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM
  • Additional hours may be required during month-end, quarter-end, and audits
  • Minimal travel required
