Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team and work closely with our CFO. This role is ideal for someone who values accuracy, enjoys working through the details, and is looking to grow within a fast-paced, evolving company. The Senior Accountant will partner with leadership, including the CEO, to help ensure our financial data is accurate, organized, and reliable as the business continues to scale. You will take ownership of key accounting processes, including reconciliations, invoicing, and maintaining consistency across systems, playing an important role in the day-to-day operations of the accounting function.
This role requires experience within consumer products or eCommerce environment. You should be comfortable working with Shopify data, supporting wholesale invoicing, and handling multi-state sales tax filings. Experience with inventory, warehouse, and 3PL-related financials is essential, as you will work cross-functionally to ensure accuracy across the flow of goods and financial reporting. Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and maintain the accuracy of the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and categorized
- Perform and manage reconciliations across bank accounts, credit cards, and payment platforms, including Shopify
- Record and reconcile Shopify transactions, identifying and resolving syncing issues across systems
- Manage invoicing across both direct-to-consumer and wholesale channels, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Prepare and file multi-state sales tax filings, ensuring compliance across all applicable jurisdictions
- Support the month-end close process, including preparing schedules, journal entries, and assisting with reporting
- Identify and resolve discrepancies across systems and financial records, including missing or incomplete transactions
- Help bring financial records up to date by addressing gaps, inconsistencies, and manual entries
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate execution
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Production, and Supply Chain teams to ensure accuracy across inventory, warehouse, and 3PL-related financial data
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and reduce manual processes across accounting systems
- Support the transition from QuickBooks to NetSuite, including data cleanup, migration, and validation
Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a consumer products or eCommerce business
- Strong hands-on experience with general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Experience working with Shopify or similar eCommerce platforms
- Experience managing multi-state sales tax filings (nexus required)
- Exposure to inventory, warehouse, and 3PL-related accounting, with an understanding of how financial data flows across operations and distribution
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems
- Exposure to NetSuite or involvement in an ERP implementation is a plus
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyze and organize financial data
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies across systems

Benefits
Salary Disclosure and Benefits:
Parallelle is committed to offering a competitive and equitable compensation package based on experience and qualifications. The salary range for this position is $85,000 – $105,000, with flexibility for the right candidate. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 100% employer paid medical coverage for employees, along with PTO and additional perks aligned with company policies.
