Key Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care, daily living skills, and therapeutic activities tailored to their needs.
• Encourage participation in community activities and support clients in developing social skills.
• Implement and document client care plans, tracking progress and making necessary adjustments.
• Provide emotional support and companionship, building trusting relationships with clients.
• Ensure safety and well-being by following health and safety guidelines.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal care and support for individuals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education in social work or a related field is a plus.
• Prior experience in direct support or a similar caregiving role is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on compassion and empathy.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community activities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or the willingness to obtain upon hire.
